Izmir, Turkey – The Supreme Allied Commander Europe (SACEUR), U.S. Army General Curtis M. Scaparrotti, made his first visit to Allied Land Command (LANDCOM) Headquarters on Friday, 27 May 2016, since assuming command of NATO's Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe and U.S. European Command earlier this month.
General Scaparrotti was greeted by LANDCOM Acting Commander, Italian Army Lieutenant General Paolo Ruggiero, LANDCOM Chief of Staff, Major General Salih Sevil, and the Command Senior Enlisted Leader, U.S. Army Sergeant Major James Combs.
