Romanian Ambassador to Turkey and Deputy Chief of Mission at the U.S. Embassy in Ankara visited LANDCOM


Izmir – Turkey. Today LANDCOM received two important visits. In the morning, Ambassador of Romania to the Republic of Turkey, Gabriel Şopandă together with the Consul General of Romania in Izmir, Mioara Ştefan visited LANDCOM. They had an office call with the Deputy Commander and the Chief of Staff and met with the Romanian contingent in LANDCOM. The Ambassador began his diplomatic career in 2000, within the Department of Consular Affairs and General Department of European Affairs. Throughout his diplomatic career his main focus was on the Middle East and North Africa region, non-proliferation and disarmament issues, as well as Transatlantic and European affairs.

    

    

The second visit was of the Deputy Chief of Mission at theU.S. Embassy in Ankara, Philip Kosnett. He is a distinguished representative of American diplomatic corps who served for U.S. Department of State in several European and Asiatic countries focusing his career on international security cooperation and political reconciliation. His visit aims to familiarize with LANDCOM mission and structure and to meet with U.S. LANDCOM contingent.
