LANDCOM Acting Commander Lieutenant General Paolo Ruggiero Visits Mayor of Metropolitan Izmir

On 7th April, 2016 DCOM/Acting Commander LANDCOM has paid a courtesy visit to the Izmir Mayor Aziz Kocaoğlu. Main aim of the visit was to strengthen the relation with the local Turkish community.

LTG Paolo Ruggiero has expressed his compliments for the way the City is developing and improving the quality of life and thanked the Mayor for the Turkish sense of hospitality that foreign families perceive as soon as they set foot in Izmir. He finally explained what is LANDCOM’s role within the Alliance.

Mr. Kocaoğlu was pleased of LTG Ruggiero’s visit and offered his Administration’s assistance whenever it might be needed. He also welcomed any initiative and opportunities to facilitate the NATO’s Personnel integration into the Turkish society. He finally agreed to visit LANDCOM at the first favorable opportunity.
