Italian Republic Day

Izmir - Turkey. On 03 June, Italian contingent at LANDCOM organized a 3km run to celebrate the 70th Anniversary of Italian Republic Day.

The celebration commemorates the 2 of June 1946, the day when Italian people chose to become a Republic and dismissed the previous form of government of monarchy by a popular referendum held by universal suffrage for the first time in Italian history.

The winners of the run have been prized with a basket of typical Italian food, such as pasta, olive oil and some desserts by the DCOM Lieutenant Paolo Ruggiero during a toast with all LANDCOM members.
