Italian Ambassador to Turkey visits LANDCOM

IZMIR, Turkey - The Italian Ambassador to Turkey, Mr. Luigi Mattiolo, accompanied by the Italian Consul in Izmir, Mr. Luigi Iannuzzi and the Italian Defence Attaché Captain (N) Daniele Civico, visited the NATO’s Allied Land Command (LANDCOM) on 16th May 2016.

The Ambassador was welcomed by Deputy Commander Lieutenant General Paolo Ruggiero and by Chief Of Staff Major General (Maj. Gen.) Salih Sevil in front of the main entrance of LANDCOM.

He had a one on one meeting with DCOM Ruggiero about the strategic collaboration between Italy and Turkey and the Italian role in the Alliance. Afterwards, he continued his courtesy visit receiving a presentation about LANDCOM and its role supporting NATO from LANDCOM Staff Officers.

He ended his trip by meeting with the Italian Contingent of LANDCOM.
