Turkish Land Forces Commander visits LANDCOM

General Hulusi Akar, Turkish Land Forces Commander and General Galip Mendi, the Aegean Army Commander visited LANDCOM in the 17^th of April 2015 in Izmir. Gen. AKAR and Gen. MENDI were welcomed by Lieutenant General John W. Nicholson, LANDCOM Commander, and Major General Uğur Tarçin, LANDCOM Chief of Staff and Command Sergeant Major Daniel T. Moyer, LANDCOM Command Senior Enlisted Leader.

Gen. Akar and Gen. Mendi had an office call with LT. Gen. Nicholson and Maj. Gen. Tarçin. The main focus of their meeting was the importance of the relationship between LANDCOM and Turkish Army. During the office call, Gen. Akar was informed about some of the activities and achievements of LANDCOM since Full Operation Capability (FOC) declaration. Gen. Akar and Gen. Mendi noted the importance of LANDCOM to the Alliance.

It was a pleasure for LANDCOM to host such distinguished visitors which provided a great opportunity to exchange views and get the Turkish Army’s support to LANDCOM.
