Meeting of COM MND-SE with LANDCOM Representatives

Attending the General Officers Steering Committee Meeting (GOSC) in LANDCOM (07 – 09 September 2015), COM MND-SE (Multi-National Division South-East) took the opportunity to have a meeting with LANDCOM representatives to share ideas concerning the way ahead for MND-SE HQ.

Established on 1st of September 2015, HQ MND-SE is to be prepared to command and control an Article 5 operation as a divisional headquarters in the south-east region, in order to contribute to the security of Alliance territory and populations.

With IOC (Initial Operational Capability) planned prior to the 2016 Warsaw Summit and FOC (Full Operational Capability) no later than 1 April 2018, MND-SE is on the fast track to become newest HQ in the NFS community. To reach that goal, a tremendous volume of work is required from the HQ personnel and COM MND-SE considered the experience gained by LANDCOM since their own establishment a solid foundation. Covering both military and non-military topics that concern the new HQ, the discussions that COM MND-SE had with LANDCOM representatives were appreciated, fruitful and helpful for their future endeavors.
