Combat Readiness Evaluation (CREVAL) Training 2015

Allied Land Command (LANDCOM) hosted training for NATO 51 personnel, representing 16 nations, tasked to oversee NATO’s 2015 Combat Readiness Evaluation (CREVAL) program, February 16-20, 2015. This command provides land expertise in support of Alliance Land Forces’ capabilities, readiness, interoperability and standardization.   This year there will be 19 national evaluations and conduct 2 corps headquarters level evaluations (NATO Rapid Deployment Corps Spain [NRDC ESP] and NATO Rapid Deployment Corps Greece [NRDC GRC]).

The Combat Readiness Evaluation (CREVAL) program is a generic program where the same areas and evaluation methodology are used for all types of NATO Land Forces.  The aims of the CREVAL program is first to evaluate and verify the Combat Readiness of Land Forces declared to NATO.  The second is to provide the commander of each unit with recommendations comments and feedback to improve that respective force.  The goal is for each unit evaluated in 2015 to be ready at any time to provide the Alliance with an optimum command system successfully capable of conducting present and future NATO operations.
