Military Career:
1986-1996 Platoon and company commander in various military units.
1996-1998 Served as instructor at the Military Engineering School and Training Center Command.
1998-2000 Completed his training at the Army Staff College.
2000-2001 Assigned as ACOS OPS to 2nd Armored Brigade HQ and graduated from the Armed Forces College.
2001-2002 Tank Battalion Commander at the 2nd Armored Brigade Command.
2002-2005 Staff officer at Resources Division of NSIP Branch and subsequently Branch Chief of Collective Training & Exercises under J7 at SHAPE.
2005-2007 Branch Chief and then the Director of Communication & PR directorate at Turkish General Staff HQ.
2007-2009 Engineer Regiment Commander at the 2nd Army Command.
2009-2011 Group Chief of NATO Security Investment Group at MoD HQ.
2011-2014 Chief of Education Training Exercise and Evaluation (ETEE) Branch at NATO HQ, IMS, Brussels.
2014-2016 COS at 7th Army Corps. He was promoted to the rank of Brigadier General and subsequently was assigned as ACOS to Construction, Real Estate and NATO Security Investments Division at the MoD HQ.
2016-2019 Division Head, J5 (Strategy) at the Turkish General Staff. He was promoted to the rank of Major General in 2018.
2019-2020 COS at the Turkish Land Forces HQ through Presidential Decree 2019/284.
2020-2021 Commander, 2nd Army Corps.
2021-Present COS, LANDCOM. He was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant General in 2022.
Family: Lieutenant General Mustafa OĞUZ is married to Mrs. Esil OĞUZ and they have two daughters.
